Got No Human Grace

I was watching Les Yeux Sans Visage (1960) today, on The Auteurs, and I got to 83 minutes in, and it just stopped. I was very disappointed. I had been enjoying it very much. I had less than ten minutes left to watch, and it failed. Bugger. So I guess that means I have to rent it now, huh?
I guess I could. I need to watch the end of The Brothers Bloom as well. I really enjoyed what I saw of it. I heart Adrien Brody, and all of Rachel Weisz's outfits were so cute! Bang Bang was adorably eccentric, also.
Anyway, back to Les Yeux... The daughter, Christiane (played by Edith Scob) was an etherealy pretty little creature. Even with her mask on, she just had something about her, the way she moved and carried herself.

Also, the scenery was beautiful. There were all of these wonderful shots of Paris.

And there were, of course, all of the old-fashioned cars. This one was my favourite:

(Look at the apartment behind it with the tower room! I wish I lived right there!)

Anyway, that's what I've done today. I think I will now go watch the fourth episode of the new season of Skins, and then I'll be caught up.

PS - I'm super sad that I left my pink Essie nail polish at Junior's house. She's leaving for Jamaica tomorrow and last night I chipped my right thumbnail fastening Jenn's belt.

My webcam does not do this colour justice. It's a bright highlighter pink. It blinds me slightly every time I look down at my hands.

Spring 2010

I would like to have one of those Miu Miu blouses with the naked women on them.

Rest in Peace, Mr McQueen.
